If Zuchu wants to quit the record label in the middle, she will have to pay Sh10 billion.
The Jeje hitmaker claimed that Zuchu’s popularity had skyrocketed and that as a result, leaving the label would cost a sizable money.
This comes after he was charged with exploiting singers covered by the Workers’ Compensation Act by requiring them to pay astronomical sums of money to end their contracts.
However, Diamond claimed that because the record company invests a lot of money in the signees’ quick climb to prominence, they must pay enormous sums if they want to quit.
Diamond shares that, “So you can’t just leave when we have invested millions in your craft. I invest in people, I make sure they have a name for themselves, plus concerts so that we can also make money at the end of the day,”
Adding that; “If I wanted, I could have invested that money in something else, but I choose to invest in entertainment. WCB artistes are some of the richest artistes right now because of the investment we put in them.”
